It was where I started in pursuing my career in IT industry. Yet I did not jump right into IT, I started with product development and project delivery in other aspects. I had these precious opportunities to put my study in marketing planning and graphics design into practice in real working settings. My experience started with joining a small but strong team in VIV, an IT and Marketing startup, as a marketing intern.

VIV is an information technology start-up company researching face analytics and based on that, provides marketing services to local and Japanese companies. Viv provides integrated marketing services to local and Japan incorporations. 

Why I join Viv? 
Marketing is about communicating the customer value to potential customers. I find it interesting to Engage people and generate customer value. It is a process of encoding and decoding message and delivering through designated channel. It looks simple but can be complex. I believe that Design and marketing are complementary to each other to deliver the message. And I was deeply interested in exploring more in the field. And strength my skills and knowledge in real work setting.

Ninja WiFi Hong Kong Agent

Ninja Wifi was the first commercial project I took park in.  Ninja WiFi was launched in Hong Kong in summer in 2015 when VIV as the local agent of the rental wifi service.
 
We developed several promotional campaigns and implement across media and ad networks. Examples are Summer Promotion Campaign, Chinese New Year Campaign and Early Bird Campaign. I have got first-hand experience in campaign creation and execution. I implement the campaigns through multi-channel, namely landing pages, website, Google Display Network, Ad sense, Facebook Ad and EDM.

Menard Cosmetics Hong Kong Online-to-Offline Solutions

We developed a series of Online-to-Offline campaigns with Menard Cosmetics Japan to expand the brand in the Hong Kong market. As an extra channel of the brand’s original marketing practice, an online coupon registration and a revenue sharings system were deployed.

I helped with developing the business plan, Propose creatives and demonstrate the service model by design. As the chief graphic designer, I took a leading role in developing O2O promotion campaigns of MENARD Cosmetics.

An One-year Placement as Assistant Project Manager in Viv

I was taking a study leave and working as Assistant Project Manager in VIV to enrich my skills. I managed projects of content marketing by own media and video promotion, helping with the business development of Affilix, a B2C SaaS Marketing Solution, and Smilfie, a promotion system based on selfie and face recognition. I have also gained knowledge in web development, helping with the development of COMM.UNITY, a research project, and VIV's Affilix .

Hohoemi Project Smilfie

As with Viv '2016 slogan "Make a Smile", we believe A smile is the most influential power. Participants can get rewards on their level of smiles. The Smilfie service covers Smile Ranking system, keeping tracks of transactions and coupon issuing, empowered by Facebook connect.

Everyone can become an Influencer.
We want to capitalize the values of social power. As the project manager, I work with a programmers team to develop the solution. As the chief UI designer, I worked with Dennis to develop the mobile app Cheer in the summer days in 2015.

By distributing latest trends and news, we utilize Sasuke Daily not only as a travel blog but also as a portal to deliver the product information
The news articles are shared across own media, earned media and paid media. While the strategies are different, the goal is the same — to generate awareness and engagement.

Boost Influencer- Gain Awareness Ahead

An incentive program where bloggers/ influencers can get profit sharing on the service promoted. We had collaboration with some popular YouTubers and beauty bloggers. I was in charge of the front end website making and the management of system development.

COMMUNITY - An Hohoemi Project collaborating with Kobe University

Our team VIV has collaborated with Ariki Professor’s research team in Kobe University in Japan to develop an original face recognition system.
I am the person in charge of the maintenance of photo collection system. We first created a platform to collect photos of faces and categorize them into simple groups and open to the public to help with assigning them to relevant emotions.

HappyLab x Sibuya109@ Habour City x LotusTV

It is an event working with Japanese Department Store Sibuya109 at Habour City and Happy Lab Hong Kong. A talk show series were live every weekend and it was broadcasted through Youtube Live on Media Channel Lotus TV. Different guestes were presented, including Japanese pop boy group Addiction, kids groups and local youtubers.

I am the director of this project. It is a one man band, in which I was in charge of the whole business solution research, project planning, and youtube live streaming execution. I like video production, although the job was tough, I really enjoyed it.

Future

In the future, I want to explore more in business development, marketing, and visual communication. I would like to challenge myself and pursue my career with a high sense of achievement. Therefore, I want to learn and work in a vivid workplace, and to witness the growth of myself and the business!

Bubble fish was poisonous but considered as a top cuisine.
Su Shi, a noted poet in ancient China, challenged to the matter of life or death, ate the poisonous bubble fish and gave a sigh with deep feeling, "worth a death!". Even living for only more than a decade, I have also had this same feeling. Listening to OneRepublic's "WakingUp" album, not just simply the ups and downs of joy and anger, but also life's all kinds of memory and missing flush to my mind.
I like music, particularly string and instrumental music. I am also exploring more in art and culture.
As Zhuangzi said, you are not a fish; from what do you know the joy of fish.
