In hackUST 2015, we had more than 300 participants and over 180K sponsorship in prize, food, and promotion, which were the results of the devotion and enthusiasm of all the committee members in the event.
Hackathon@HKUST 2015 took a competition format. At the beginning of the event, participants were able to form teams, brainstorm for solution ideas, and design the system. Teams then had chances to implement their solution within 24 hours. Following that, they presented their solution in front of a judging panel that consists of experts in the different field which matched our themes, HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, an HKUST alumnus entrepreneur, as well as a leading representative of the Hong Kong startup community. During developing your prototype, our team had invited lecturers entrepreneurs, and industry experts who are going to help the teams out.
We got sponsors from school department to provide an almost unlimited amount of food, like the free flow of snacks, pizza, drink and other refreshments. hackUST 2015 is the second event of its kind to be organized at a university in Hong Kong, following the success of Hackathon@HKUST 2014.

Promotion by Video, Online and Printed Materials
I joined Computer Science and Engineering- Entrepreneur Club as a committee member in 2015 and a team composed of members from mainly computer science discipline. I was the only member who is in Science background.
As Media and Promotion Manager, I helped with developing the promotion strategy. I was in charge of executing advertising strategy from printed material channels to online multimedia platforms. To boost the brand identity, we also design the new remarkable mushroom logo. We had changed the whole design theme, forming a unique brand.
As the chief graphic designer, I designed printed promotion material e.g.roller banners, banners, leaflet, posters promotion decorations and other online PR material on email and social media pages.
Also, I gained substantial experience to print out different kinds of materials at printing shops.
