It is an event working with Japanese Department Store Sibuya109 at Habour City and Happy Lab Hong Kong. A talk show series were live every weekend and it was broadcasted through Youtube Live on Media Channel Lotus TV. Different guestes were presented, including Japanese pop boy group Addiction, kids groups and local youtubers.
As A Youtube Live Streaming Video Producer
Broacdcast online through Youtube Live using CCTV? It is rare.
In this project, CCTV was intended to be used for video recording. Using CCTV is an exceptional idea, as connection is made wirless, a lot of challenge were posed to the quality and stability of the live streaming. Wirecast Live software as a live streaming and editing software was used to broadcast the video and audible source to Youtube Live.
I am the director of this project. It is a one man band, in which I was in charge of the whole business solution research, project planning, and youtube live streaming execution. I like video production, although the job was tough, I really enjoyed it.
There were different stages of business planning/preparation/execution: Each stage took up around equal time of effort:
At Business Planning Stage, three solution were developed for the client. Throughout research is done on recording, converter, live streaming software. Finally, solution of using CCTV was adopted, as it was considered to be easily to be sold as a service package to future client.
Alternative solution were also studied considerably.
Timeline was drafted for the reference of client and project planning.
At Pre-launch Preparation, Ordering and Buying of equipments were carried out. I also developed the quotation for the client and budget and profit and loss summary in the team. After that, Installation of the camera at the venue, drilling of the ceiling and attachment CCTV stand. Cabling directed from the power source, mounting the power box and audio system was done at midnight in the shopping mall.
A considerable amount of time was taken to do the network installation, connection and configuration. As the Network at the shopping mall is commercial use.To access the cameras remotely, you need it’s WAN address. However, any configuration in the firewall or port forward, which is necessary to allow intra-net output to internet, is prohibited. I attempted to used Protocol in TCP or RTSP. They are not stable. Finally, Wirecast supported application is used to provide the video source.
In addition, I posted the streaming video. Live streaming authentication and other account configuration were done.
